Medical students, early career surgeons, and physician scientists can network and build relationships within the cardiothoracic surgical community, while gaining insight into the specialty through the AATS Member for a Day Program.
Member for a DayLeadership Academy

The AATS Leadership Academy provides participants with the administrative, interpersonal, and mentoring skills necessary to serve successfully as an academic cardiothoracic surgeon. The intensive, didactic, and interactive program gives up to 20 surgeons the opportunity to interact with well-known thoracic surgical leaders who might subsequently serve as personal mentors.
Leadership AcademyWomen in Cardiothoracic Leadership Series

The AATS Women in Cardiothoracic Leadership Taskforce provides a six-part webinar series focused on women in cardiothoracic leadership. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and engage with cardiothoracic female surgical experts and leaders in their field. The focus on interests and recruitment of young and talented women to cardiothoracic surgery (high school, undergraduate, medical school and residency) as well as topics focused for attending and senior surgeons.
