Ahmed El-Eshmawi MD, is an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mountsinai. He is also the Clinical Director of the Mitral Valve Reference Center since 2013. He obtained his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria Univeristy, Egypt in 2000. He then finished his Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency in Egypt, before obtaining postdoctor fellowships in cardiac surgery from Erlangen, Germany, as well as Mountsinai, New York.
