Dr. Lisa Brown is an Associate Professor of Thoracic Surgery at UC Davis Health with expertise in thoracic oncology and benign esophageal diseases. She completed her general surgery training at UCSF and cardiothoracic surgery training at Washington University. She has a Master of Advanced Study degree in Clinical Research from UCSF. She is an expert in Health Services Research and her research focus is on patient-centered care for thoracic surgical patients. In particular, she focuses on patient-reported outcomes, health-related quality of life, and pain managment and opioid use. She serves as an Associate Statistical Editor for JTCVS and is on the Editorial Boards of Annals of Thoracic Surgery and Annals of Surgery Open.
