Adequacy of Uniportal VATS Surgery in the Modern Thoracic Surgical Armamentarium
Course Overview
This three-part series, supported by Medtronic, will discuss Uniportal VATS (UniVATS) as a valuable approach for thoracic surgical procedures. This program is aimed at analyzing the factors still hampering a full-scale dissemination of the technique in North America. It will focus on organizational, technical, and oncological issues that are addressed in units adopting UniVATS. Participants will grow increasingly comfortable with UniVATS on an individual surgeon’s and a group/unit’s level.

- Understand the scientific evidence supporting UniVATS; in particular, analysis of the surgical and the oncological outcomes
