Award Deferment Policy

An award or fellowship may be postponed or deferred for up to one year from the date of notification and acceptance of the award.

Awardees must schedule and confirm the timing of their award within this one-year period. Failure to do so—unless previously approved by the AATS Foundation—will result in forfeiture of the award, and the individual will be required to reapply in a future award cycle, provided they remain eligible.

Post-Program Reporting and Withheld Funds Policy

The AATS Foundation may withhold a defined portion of an award at the time of disbursement. Release of withheld funds is contingent upon the awardee’s completion of required post-program documentation, which may include a survey, written report, or other outcomes assessment defined by the Foundation.

Awardees must submit all required materials within 90 days following the conclusion of the funded educational program, fellowship, or scholarship. If required documentation is not received within this 90-day period, the funds withheld will be forfeited and will no longer be available for disbursement. Exceptions may be granted at the sole discretion of the AATS Foundation upon written request by the awardee prior to the expiration of the submission deadline.
