The Alley-Sheridan Fund was
established within The Thoracic Surgery Foundation by Mr. David Sheridan on
behalf of his life-long friend and collaborator, Dr. Ralph Alley, to provide
educational opportunities, especially in health care policy matters for
cardio-thoracic surgeons. This fund has been used to make a generous grant from
The Foundation to the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University to
develop an intensive executive course in management and health care policy, Understanding
the New World of Health Care: An Health Policy Program for Physicians, Trustees
and Health Care Leaders. The Foundation named the following individuals to
receive Alley-Sheridan Scholarships to attend this course.
