Objectives
The 1995 Postgraduate
Course on Congenital Heart Disease will address the following topics:
Catheter Intervention or Surgery, Myocardial Protection of the Immature
Heart, and Fetal and Premature Surgery/Pediatric Cardiac Transplantation.
This course will provide
attendees with the opportunity to interact with recognized experts involved
in the research and development of new techniques and procedures in
congenital heart disease.
The format of the course
will include lectures on current issues within each of the topic areas, with
ample time provided during each session for discussion of specific questions
from the audience.
Registration
Enrollment in this course will be by pre-registration
until March 27, 1995. The registration fee is $50 per person and includes the
PG Course, coffee break, and lunch.
Accreditation
The American Association
for Thoracic Surgery is accredited by the Accreditation Council for
Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for
physicians. The American Association for Thoracic Surgery designates this
continuing medical education activity for 6 credit hours in Category 1 of the
Physicians Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.

Objective
The 1995 Symposium on
Transplantation entitled "Immunotherapy for Thoracic Transplantation" will
address various issues related to thoracic transplantation including early
and late results of cardiac and pulmonary transplantation, Cyclosporin and
FK-506 based immunosuppression, total lymphoid irradiation, phototherapy,
Mycophenolic acid, rapamycin and methotrexate for immunosuppression,
chimerism and tolerance, and prophylaxis for infection following thoracic
transplantation.
This symposium will provide
attendees with the opportunity to interact with recognized experts involved
in the research and development of new techniques and procedures in
transplantation.
The format of the course
will include lectures on current issues within each of the topic areas, with
ample time provided during each session for discussion of specific questions
from the audience.

1994, participants may register on site at the Sheraton Boston Hotel and
Towers. The registration fee is $50.00 per person and includes the symposium,
coffee breaks, and lunch.
